The source container FQG74 is designed to reliably hold up to 20 internal radioactive sources with highest activities during radiometric measurements. Thanks to the robust and high shielding, the source container is easy to use in straight and bent dip tube.
The source container FQG74 is used in combination with a radiometric transmitter for point level detection, continuous level and multipoint density measurement. It is suitable for applications with long measuring ranges.
Oil & Gas
Density profile measurement in the separation process
Level control of the catalyst bed across different elevations in the reactor for the hydrocracking process
Petrochemical / Chemical
Level or multipoint density measurement in reactors of the PTA and Urea process
Benefits
Best-in-class safety (Type A approval) and radiation protection
Easy commissioning of the sources – the source position can be adjusted individually by independent ropes (maximal rope length: 30 meters)
High shielding ensures that no control areas are generally required and that installation in accessible areas is possible
A high versatility with different variants of the source container enables the use in multiple applications
Padlock for fixation the on/off switch position and to protect against theft
Raman spectroscopy from Endress+Hauser has established itself as a key PAT tool at Evonik. It enables significant efficiency gains, cost reductions, and faster market launch of new products.
Messer produces hydrogen in a steam reformer. The facility has a large number of protection and safety devices where pressure values play an important role.
Kemira, a global chemicals company, needs accurate monitoring of level and temperature for polymer manufacturing. They use instrumentation with Bluetooth for safe and easy access to process data.
The Egyptian government is working to replace liquid fuels with natural gas. To achieve this they targeted increasing the number of CNG stations in their country from 306 to 1000 by the end of 2021.
