Over 30 employees took part in this year's Social Day at Endress+Hauser Digital Solutions in Reinach, Switzerland, and got involved in various social projects. Several groups were out and about near the borders in Germany and Switzerland, helping out in a total of four projects. The Endress+Hauser Digital Solutions Social Day took place for the sixth time.
Endress+Hauser takes its social responsibility seriously. The company has a global presence, but still has strong roots in the Basel region. So, the so-called Social Day, an initiative of Endress+Hauser Digital Solutions, has been a tradition for many years. The company is involved in various projects in the region, for which employees of the company can register voluntarily.
This year, the volunteers helped in renovating the exterior and interior of a kindergarten in Tüllingen (Germany) and a daycare center in Basel St. Johann (Switzerland). The children can now look forward to a newly equipped exercise room, new climbing walls, and a renovated vehicle storage hall.
Far from climbing walls, other volunteers participated on a farm in Sitzenkirch (Germany). The employees covered beds with compost, sowed green manure and harvested pumpkin seeds. At the "Chutzenäscht" clubhouse of the local nature and bird conservation organization in Reinach (Switzerland), unwanted shrubs and trees were removed.
