FOUNDATION Fieldbus enables digital communication between field devices
and control systems using a two-wire architecture.
FOUNDATION Fieldbus helps make device data directly available within control, operating and asset management systems.
Certified devices support interoperability, while FOUNDATION Fieldbus's intrinsic safety design makes the technology suitable for hazardous area applications where reliable communication and safe operation are essential.
To ensure seamless integration, FOUNDATION Fieldbus devices are tested and certified in independent laboratories that are accredited by the Fieldbus Foundation. Additionally, all Endress+Hauser devices are released by all major HOST system suppliers for their system and tested with all relevant DCS systems under typical operating conditions.
FOUNDATION Fieldbus device information (parameter, status, etc.) is accessible with an FDT frame or DD operating tool. We offer DTMs and EDDs for all our FOUNDATION Fieldbus devices and ensure they are integrated into the above-mentioned tools. The device description files and certificates can be obtained from the download area of each product.
